Dee Hayward (Leicester Riders)
The Scottish guard lit it up at the Morningside Arena as Riders continued to surge towards a maiden WBBL Championship title. Hayward was at the heart of a vibrant win against Durham Palatinates, finishing with a stellar 29 points from a sparkling 64% from the field. She also came up with 4 boards.
Maria Gonzalez (Durham Palatinates)
The Spanish guard guided Durham to a slice of history as they won their first ever WBBL Trophy fixture by beating Mystics in an overtime classic. Gonzalez showed her skills with 23 points from a special 70% from the field and completed a double-double with 11 assists to cement a debut slot in our line-up.
Alyesha Lovett (Nottingham Wildcats)
The forward was in scintillating form for Wildcats as they got their Trophy campaign off to a winning start in a hard-fought success against Cardiff Met Archers. Lovett was a difference-maker after she produced an all-action line of 24 points, 8 boards, 5 assists and two steals – shooting 61% from the floor.
Harriet Ottewill-Soulsby (Durham Palatinates)
It’s a first appearance in our line-up for Ottewill-Soulsby after she did the business in the paint for Durham during their memorable overtime meeting with Manchester. The frontcourt ace posted her best ever WBBL numbers with a brilliant double-double of 16 points and 17 boards – as well as 4 steals and 3 blocks.
Tricia Oakes (Caledonia Pride)
Oakes was doing some serious damage in the paint at Sport Central as Pride strolled to a Trophy win against Team Northumbria. The centre was a thorn in the side of the home side as she amassed a fine 18 points and 14 boards for her seventh berth in our line-up and now just one behind our season leader Ashley Harris.
