Saturday was a good day for reigning champions in the WBBL, with wins for Nottingham Wildcats (Championship), Sevenoaks Suns (Play-offs) and Manchester Mystics (Cup).

Wildcats recorded their first win of the new campaign thanks to a huge double-double from Ashley Harris, including 16 points in a crucial third quarter spell that saw them recover from a first half deficit at Cardiff Met Archers, to win 78-73.

Suns, meanwhile, joined Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters at the summit of the early WBBL Championship table with a dominant 88-42 win at Oaklands Wolves, led to 3-0 by 20 points from Chantelle Pressley.

Leicester Riders remain another unbeaten side after their 85-63 home win over Caledonia Pride, as Dee Hayward led their scoring with 18 points to make it two wins in two.

Finally, Georgia Jones scored 30 points, including five first quarter three-pointers, as her Manchester Mystics side powered past Durham Palatinates, 92-55.
