Social Media Spotlight

We take our weekly look around social media for all things #theWBBL and as history happened – it proved to be a huge few days for Sevenoaks Suns in particular. They were crowned the 2017 WBBL Trophy winners as they picked up their first top-flight silverware.

Well except this one, as we recognised a theme between Manchester’s Cup win and that of the Suns.

 

 

While Anne Pedersen got  MVP and Cat Carr ran her close – what about young Gabby Nikitinaite? She was in the conversation and it was her sublime passing which got Suns shining in that important first-half.

 

 

BBC Sport also came up with their favourite plays from the game! And, Hatters added their own message which was great to see…..

And we had better flag up an all-too rare piece of praise for the whistlers!

Oh and there was a full post-game media conference

Meanwhile Suns weren’t the only ones catching the eye as the Molten WBBL 3×3 project with BBC Sport was shortlisted for a prestiguous awards this week!

Helen Naylor passed a landmark …..well a couple of weeks ago and we eventually got around to recognising the accomplishment – sorry Helen!

There was also some consolation for some Riders players disappointed by their Trophy loss with a BUCS Championship

The promotion of this weekend’s brand new Archers Arena continued with more ‘trick shots’ from the Archers squad…..Come on ‘Swagstaff’ you have been hitting luckier shots than that for years….
