Ten fixtures will take place over two days as another exciting weekend of Championship action awaits.

Sevenoaks Suns sit alone at the top of the table, the only franchise yet to suffer defeat in the Championship. At the other end of the standings, Durham Palatinates remain just one of two sides who have yet to record their maiden victory. On Sunday the two teams meet and on paper there appears to be only one winner.

The road team, however, have made serious strides since the start of the season and the debutant franchise are enjoying life in the WBBL.

“I can truly say I’ve relished my first few months in Durham,” stated Paula Tarnachowicz.

“Our last game against Caledonia gave us a real boost in confidence and motivation. We’re all excited to get back on court and ready to recapture the momentum gained prior to the break.”

After a demanding opening stretch to the season, the Polish forward has enjoyed a prolonged international break.

“The time between games has allowed us to rest and recover but we’ve practiced hard and continued to grow and get better.

“Consistency will be a key area for us moving forward. That and to remain together if we find ourselves in tough game situations.”

Caledonia Pride take to the court twice this weekend as both Manchester Mystics and Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters visit Edinburgh. The home side will be confident of more success having won their previous two outings.

Elsewhere, Oaklands Wolves welcome Team Northumbria before Cardiff Met Archers take on Leicester Riders the following day. The Leicestershire based franchise travel to Wales boasting both the reigning Player and Coach of the Month.
