There were important results in the chase for the top four in the WBBL Championship on Saturday, with wins for Manchester Mystics and Team Northumbria.
Mystics – currently occupying fourth – could have dropped to sixth with a defeat on the road at Caledonia Pride, who’d have leapfrogged them. But in a thrilling game, Rheanne Bailey’s 28 points led the Mystics through overtime to a 75-73 victory, for a first win in three outings.
Elsewhere, fifth-placed Team Northumbria were also victorious on the road, beating Oaklands Wolves 79-60 to make it six wins in a row as Evelyn Ovner led them for the first time with 22 points.
