Durham Palatinates 85-75 Nottingham Wildcats (19-17, 43-33, 58-50)

Durham Palatinates continued their push for a place in the Play-Offs after defeating Nottingham Wildcats, on Sunday.

Commonwealth Games silver medalist, Nicolette Fong Lyew Quee starred for her side as they close the gap on the teams above them in the race for the top eight ahead of a huge final weekend.

Leading scorers – Fong Lyew Quee 30, Ceazar 28, Jagodzinska 16 (Palatinates) – Lovett 24, Prior 16, Sbahi 14 (Wildcats)

Turning point – After edging the first 10 minutes, Durham pulled away to open up a double-digit lead at half-time. The visitors closed the gap to a single point inside the final two minutes before Durham closed out the victory with a 9-0 run.

Key stat – Durham went 23 of 28 from the foul line as they attacked the basket against a Wildcats side missing Ashley Harris.

Game hero(es) – Nicolette Fong Lyew Quee put up 30 points along with 8 assists in the win, while Cierra Ceazar added a stellar 28 points and 16 rebounds as the duo led their side with their 40-minute efforts.
