Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters will once again have Spanish pair Deborah Rodriguez and Ana Santana Gonzalez in their line-up when the new season swings into action.
The powerful Rodriguez will be back to patrol the paint and looking to increase her production in terms of points and boards after two solid WBBL seasons with the Yorkshire club.
The 29-year-old, who has previously played for Real Celta in her homeland, Waterford Wildcats in the Irish Premier League and Brindisi in Italy’s second tier, averaged just over 3 points and 3 boards per game last year.
Meanwhile Santana Gonzalez is back for her fourth season with the club, having initially joined in the summer of 2015. The guard was a constant figure coming off the bench again last season, with both her and her compatriot adding depth to the Hatters’ roster.
They join other returnees in the form of Helen Naylor, Naomi Campbell – along with new signing, Luiana Livulo – a Portuguese senior international centre.
