London Lions leapfrog back over the Caledonia Gladiators as they reclaim the top spot of the table for themselves, winning away from home 51-86.
Starting Fives:
Caledonia Gladiators: Hannah Robb, Ariadna Pujol, Sokhna Binton Lo Sylla, Laken James, Kirsty Brown.
London Lions: Katsiaryna Snytsina, Shey Peddy, Temi Fágbénlé, Abby Meyers, Karlie Samuelson.
First Half
The Lions won the tip-off and used that to their advantage, with a quick three-pointer from Karlie Samuelson.
The Gladiators did pull the score back and kept the game close until a late scoring streak from the Lions gave them a four-point lead at the end of the first quarter.
The final 10 minutes of the half was a different story. The Lions looked like a different team, dominating all areas over Caledonia.
Because of this at the end of the first half, the London-based team had a 16-point lead.
Second Half
The Gladiators tried to put up a fight going into the penultimate quarter, with their best points tally at the end of a quarter. But the Lions still came out on top.
At that point, it seemed like all hope was lost for the Gladiators, as the Lions were out of their league today.
Another dominant showing from the Lions saw them take the game away from home 86-51 with a 35-point advantage.
Player of the Game
The Player of the Game goes to Abby Meyers, who was excellent in all areas today. She put up impressive numbers with 15 points scored, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.
