B. Braun Sheffield Hatters today announced the re-signing of Georgia Gayle for the 2025/26 season.
The 28-year-old guard re-joins the Hatters for another campaign in Super League Basketball, after lifting the Play-off Final trophy at the O2 Arena, where she also took home Play-off Final MVP honours.
The Sheffield native led the league in three-point percentage last season, and over the course of 2024/25 averaged 16.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
Georgia is looking forward to returning to the Hatters, stating, “Everybody knows what this club means to me; it runs in my blood and I’m really happy to be coming back for another season in Sheffield.
“Last season ended in such a special way, lifting the Play-off Final trophy at the O2 was one of the highlights of my career. I’m super excited to try and bring some more silverware home again this season.”
Sheffield Hatters Head Coach Vanessa Ellis stated “I’m delighted to have Georgia with us again for the 2025/26 season. She of course understands our values and has such a strong determination to win that is so important for us as a team, both on and off court.
“Georgia had an excellent season last year, which I’m looking forward to us building on this coming season.”
