Super League Basketball is delighted to announce the winner of the Molten Most Improved Player of the Year, following a voting process involving the League’s Head Coaches and Captains.

Caledonia Gladiators guard Anastasia Warren takes home the title after a stellar season for Chantelle Handy’s Caledonia Gladiators. The Atlanta-born guard shone on both ends of the floor in helping guide the Scottish club to second in the Championship, as well as the Betty Codona Trophy Final and two semi-finals (so far) in the Cup and Play-offs.

Statistically, Warren has put together a stronger season than her previous outing in SLB, particularly as a playmaker with an average assist output of almost five per game, alongside improved averages and percentages across the board, all whilst playing slightly less minutes than the American did last year for Manchester Basketball.

Alongside Tierra Hodges on the interior, Warren has formed one of the most potent partnerships in SLB on both ends of the floor with the American duo complimenting each other greatly and setting the tone for Caledonia as they’ve battled at the business end of SLB competitions all season long.

Reflecting on her success in winning the award, Warren said:

“Winning Molten Most Improved Player of the Year for the 2025/26 season means a lot because it shows all the hard work I’ve put in. I’m thankful for my coaches for always pushing me to be better and for my teammates trusting me on the floor. This award motivates me to keep growing and continue being the best player I can be.”

Caledonia Head Coach Chantelle Handy added:

“This couldn’t have gone to a more deserving person, let alone player. Annie has made a huge impact on the team this season, truly showcasing her skill set. She’s stepped up as a leader at point guard while also proving herself as a consistent scoring threat. I’m so happy for her – this is well deserved, and she’s absolutely earned it.”

Voters were asked to choose their top three selections for the award, with the first choice earning three points, the second choice two points and the third choice one point, with the player who accrues the most points overall winning the award.
