Super League Basketball is delighted to announce that the 2026 SLB Play-off Finals at The O2 in London will be broadcast live on the BBC Sport website and app — marking the first live Super League Basketball games ever to feature on the platform.
The landmark moment represents another major step forward for the visibility and growth of British basketball, with the league continuing to build momentum across broadcast and digital audiences throughout its inaugural season.
This year’s Play-off Finals promise a spectacular conclusion to the campaign, bringing together four of the league’s standout teams on the biggest stage in British basketball.
In the women’s Final, B. Braun Sheffield Hatters and Caledonia Gladiators renew their growing rivalry in a rematch of January’s Betty Codona Trophy Final. Sheffield arrive at The O2 chasing a historic domestic quadruple after already lifting the Trophy, Cup and Championship this season, while Caledonia are seeking revenge and the first Play-off title in club history following another breakthrough campaign under Chantelle Handy.
The men’s Final also delivers a blockbuster matchup as London Lions and Cheshire Phoenix battle for the final piece of silverware of the season. The Lions enter the game one win away from completing a remarkable quadruple of their own, while Cheshire arrive full of belief after defeating London in their most recent meeting and will be looking to emerge victorious from their first Final of the season.
Across both Finals, fans can expect elite-level basketball, star power, compelling storylines and an electric atmosphere inside a packed O2 Arena.
The broadcast on the BBC Sport website and app adds to an already growing audience for Super League Basketball across DAZN, TikTok and YouTube, where the league has seen strong engagement, increased viewership and millions of video views throughout the season.
