A flying and exciting start lies in wait when the fourth season of the Women’s British Basketball League tips-off.
The opening weekend of the 2017/18 campaign will take place on Saturday 30 September and will see new franchise Durham Palatinates get off to a tough start against powerhouse club Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters. There is also an immediate repeat of the 2017 WBBL Play-Off Final as winners Sevenoaks Suns head to defending WBBL Champions, Nottingham Wildcats.
All fixtures will be available on the WBBL website soon and games to be shown on BBC Sport will also be revealed in due course.
WBBL Cup
The bottom five teams from the 2016-17 WBBL Championship season, plus newly entered Durham Palatinates, compete in the First Round, on a single leg basis. The ties are based on league position (Durham take 11th spot due to being a newly entered team).

The Final will take place on Sunday 28th January 2018 at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham.
WBBL Trophy
All WBBL teams are split into four groups based on geographical location. The groups are:
North 1 – Caledonia, Northumbria
North 2 – Durham, Manchester, Sheffield
South 1 – Cardiff, Leicester, Nottingham
South 2 – Barking, Oaklands, Sevenoaks
Teams play each other once either home or away, with group winners progressing to the Semi-Finals (single leg). The Final takes place on Saturday 14th April 2018 with a venue TBC.
WBBL Play-Offs
The Quarter-Finals will take place on or around the weekend of 4-6 May and the Semi-Finals the weekend after. The Final will be played at The O2 on Sunday 20 May 2018.
