Caledonia Gladiators and London Lions re-started their British Basketball League Women’s Championship campaigns with wins over Oaklands Wolves and B. Braun Sheffield Hatters.
Caledonia Gladiators 86–62 Oaklands Wolves

Oaklands Wolves:Caterrion Thompson, Julia Koppl, Jorjah Smith, Shaquera Wade, Allison Day
Caledonia Gladiators dispatched Oaklands Wolves with a dominant final quarter display, with the 86-62 win cementing the Scottish side’s place in the top half of the table.
First Half:
Both teams started strong, although the first quarter was defined by free throws.
The Gladiators converted seven out of their 11 shots from the line, which gave them a four-point advantage into the second quarter.
Shaquera Wade put on a strong showing in the second quarter, trying to help the Wolves get back into the game.
But the Gladiators fended off the comeback to extend the advantage to seven points.
Second Half:
A fast start to the second half by the Gladiators saw their advantage almost double to 12 points, with help from Ariadna Pujol.
The Wolves fought back, but The Gladiators kept the advantage from getting any smaller.
However, the Gladiators found another gear in the final quarter, scoring 22 points to the Wolves’ 10.
Wade battled once more to help the Wolves claw it back, but it was not meant to be.
A strong team effort from Caledonia Gladiators helped them to a 24-point victory.
Player of the Game:
Even though her team did not win, Shaquera Wade kept the Wolves in the fight. Wade was top of the scoreboard with 20 points, on top of her five rebounds and two assists.

London Lions 92-74 B. Braun Sheffield Hatters

London Lions kept their unbeaten run alive with a second half comeback which stopped B.Braun Sheffield Hatters going joint top of the table, winning 92-74.
First Half:
The Hatters started strongly, with Shauna Harrison and Emma Eichmeyer combining for 15 of their 25 points in the first quarter.
Early on into the second quarter, The Lions trailed by 10 points, but strong play by guard Karlie Samuelson helped reduce the deficit to only five points going into the break.
Second Half:
The Lions turned the game around in the third quarter, with Abby Meyers helping her side edge into a five-point lead.
From here on, the momentum was in favour of the Lions and it was a dominant final quarter.
Shanice Beckford-Norton and Meyers helped ice the game for the Lions, maintaining their unbeaten record in the league with a 92-74 win over the Hatters.
Player of the Game:
Once again, forward Temi Fágbénlé put in a dominant performance for the Lions, with a line of 20 points, 13 rebounds and four assists.
