The B. Braun Sheffield Hatters have returned another member of their Play-off-winning side, confirming the re-signing of Emma Gandini for the 2025/26 Super League Basketball season.
The 31-year-old guard re-signs for her second season in the UK with the Hatters after an impressive first season in Sheffield. Gandini averaged 11.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.7 steals per game during the 2024-25 season, and made the Molten Defensive Team of the Year. A stellar performance in the Play-off Semi-Final victory at the Canon Medical Arena over the Newcastle Eagles paved the way to the final at The O2 in London, where the Hatters defeated the Oaklands Wolves 83-73 to lift the 2025 Play-off Final title.
Emma is excited to be returning to the Hatters, stating:
“I’m very happy to have signed again in Sheffield for next season. I really enjoyed my first year in the UK and we had a strong season. I’m looking forward to building on the success we had last year and hope to have another great season.”
Sheffield Hatters Head Coach Vanessa Ellis added:
“I’m very pleased to have Emma return to us for next season. She had a very strong season, and her defensive tenacity is an asset I’m excited to have in our team again. Emma is a great player to have in the locker room as well and her experience will help us through another competitive season of Super League Basketball.”
