Caledonia Pride made it three wins in a row as they defeated Barking Abbey Crusaders 70-47 to move into eighth spot.

Bart Sengers’ side followed a 10-point success over Oaklands Wolves yesterday with a convincing display for their fourth league victory.

Sarah Thomson posted a big double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds with Tricia Oakes and Hannah Robb added 16 and 15 points respectively.

The home side started with two triples in a 14-0 opening with the Crusaders finally ending their drought after nearly eight minutes and 18 misses.

Abbey found themselves down by 16 at 23-7 in the second, but battled back to cut the gap to just five going into half-time with a 9-0 close.

However, a 17-2 start to the second half saw Pride open up a commanding 20-point lead and they held their opponents to just seven points in the third.

Robb fired in a three to end the penultimate quarter and the hosts continued to pull away in the final 10 minutes with the lead peaking at 31 points.

Savannah Wilkinson had 16 points for the Crusaders as they drop to a 7-7 record.
