B. Braun Sheffield Hatters secure an important victory at home against Leicester Riders, as they leap from the visitors in the table.
First Half
The Riders were first on the scoresheet within the first 15 seconds, thanks to a lay-up from Taylor O’Brien.
From this, the away team established an early lead, but it was quickly reeled back in by the Hatters.
The first quarter ended with the Hatters in front by four-points. They grew their lead out to to 11 points, but the Riders closed the deficit to only eight points by the end of the first half.
Second Half
Leicester looked like a different team at the start of the half, as they closed down the points difference and took the lead for themselves.
But the Hatters pulled themselves back together and restored their lead with a six-point advantage.
The momentum shifted again, as the Riders took an early lead and managed to grow a four-point lead of their own.
However, Hatters point guard Desiree Ramos had a different story to tell. She went on a 12-point scoring streak and the Riders could do nothing to stop her.
Player of the Game
Desiree Ramos single-handedly changed the fate of the match. With 12 points scored in the final five minutes alone, 25 points in total two rebounds and an assist, it was a very impressive performance.

Caledonia Gladiators, went back to the top of the table after bouncing back from their previous loss, with a convincing 90-58 win over Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles.
First Half
Caledonia controlled the first quarter, growing an eight-point lead within the first two minutes.
There was the fighting spirit within the Eagles, but it was not enough to beat the Gladiators in combat, as they put up an impressive 30 points at the end of the first quarter.
The final 10 minutes of the half were less brutal for the Eagles, but they still allowed the Gladiators to extend their lead to a 20-point advantage at the end of the half.
Second Half
Newcastle were not able to match Caledonia, as the gap grew once more to a 30-point lead for the Gladiators.
From now on it was about damage control to stop the score from growing any bigger, and that was seen with the Eagles posting their best points tally from any quarter played.
However, it was a little too late, as the Gladiators secured a 32-point win.
Player of the Game
Laken James’ all-round performance was a vital reason why the Gladiators performed as they did. James put up 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists in a very good performance.

Nottingham Wildcats join the mid-table fight with a dominant win over Manchester Giants.
First Half
Manchester Giants got off to a strong start, building out an eight-point lead heading into the final 10 minutes of the half.
The Wildcats did manage to turn things around, with a strong showing towards the end of the half, after the Giants extended their lead to 16 points.
The Wildcats now only trailed by seven points at the end of the first half.
Second Half
The Wildcats continued their good run of from the second quarter, taking the lead and the upper hand in the game.
The Giants put up a fight in the final 10 minutes of the game, but Brooke Bjelko’s persistent points scoring stopped any chance of a comeback.
In the end, the Wildcats won with a 13-point advantage over the Giants, in an impressive comeback win.
Player of the Game
Brooke Bjelko’s performance went unmatched, as she put up 29 points, 14 rebounds and two assists.
