Super League Basketball is delighted to announce the winner of the Molten Most Improved Player of the Year, following a voting process involving the League’s Head Coaches and Captains.
B. Braun Sheffield Hatters’ very own Great Britain international Shauna Harrison is the recipient of this year’s award, after a season where the 24-year-old featured in all 20 of the team’s Championship fixtures on the way to securing second place, as well as a Cup campaign that saw Vanessa Ellis’ side make it to the Final at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena.
Now a regular feature in Ana Montanana’s Senior Women’s roster for the National Team, Harrison also helped GB qualify for EuroBasket 2025 in amongst her sparkling form for Sheffield as well.
Only Georgia Gayle and Emma Gandini have played more minutes for the Hatters this term, as Harrison has proven her considerable quality in several positions and situations for the Canon Medical Arena club.
Reflecting on her success in winning this award, Harrison said:
“I’m really proud to be recognised for all the hard work I’ve put into the game this season. I’d like to say thank you to my teammates who have pushed me and challenged me get better every day.”
Hatters Head Coach Vanessa Ellis added:
“It has been fantastic to see Shauna grow and develop on the court for the Hatters this season. She is a pleasure to coach and I know there is still so much more to come from her.”
